The Reality Of The Situation part 3

“[Most] blessed is the man who believes in, trusts in, and relies on the Lord, and whose hope and confidence the Lord is. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters that spreads out its roots by the river; and it shall not see and fear when heat comes; but its leaf shall be green. It shall not be anxious and full of care in the year of drought, nor shall it cease yielding fruit”. Jeremiah 17:7-8 AMP.
It would be prudent to note that Hebrews discusses a rest like the one on the Sabbath found in the Ten Commandments. But it also explains the rest that comes with the blood of Jesus. The rest that we find under the covenant of Grace is the one that leans on God for everything. It is more than just one day a week, it is a lifestyle.
Long gone are the days that Jeremiah 17:9-10 discuss. God took all His anger out on Jesus at the cross. Our work for now on is to believe that all of our sins are forgiven yesterday, today, and forever. We should strengthen our faith in the fact that God is not angry at us. We need to accept that God loves us so much that He sent His son to die for us, each individually. God no longer condemns us as Christ has taken all of our condemnation. He does, however want to lead us through the nuances of life by the Holy Spirit. He wants to lead us to wait 5 minutes more before we leave the house because of that fatal accident that would have killed us. He wants us to lead us to end that relationship with that family member that is causes our health to deteriorate. He wants us to lead us to encourage our significant others today because today will be a hard day for them and so much more. For all of this to happen, God needs us to decide to follow.
